Members of Women on Boards Ukraine actively participated in the two-day Rebuild Ukraine business forum in Toronto, a dynamic gathering that brought together around 400 representatives from Canadian and Ukrainian businesses. The forum organized by Canada Ukraine Chamber of Commerce aimed to foster discussions on strategic partnerships and practical steps to rebuild Ukraine across various sectors.

On the stage Kovaliv Yuliya, the ambassador of Ukraine in Canada, and Elena Voloshina, IFC Country Officer Ukraine were advocating for investing in Ukraine and encouraging collaborative efforts between Canadian and Ukrainian companies.

The conference was a platform to showcase investment projects dedicated to the revitalization and modernization of Ukraine in key sectors such as agriculture, construction/infrastructure, and energy. We were privileged to learn about the tools and instruments offered by the World Bank, EBRD, and EDC to support Canadian companies interested in investing in Ukraine.

Discussions about rebuilding Ukraine have already begun in Europe and the U.S. and it is heartening to witness the continuation of these crucial dialogues in Canada.
